The unsolicited mail (two types of offers 7x each) from Chase Bank I've received during the last 6 months after I moved. |
Well, last week I get a letter from them that looks slightly different than all the others--a bit more businesslike. Good thing I didn't just toss it. It said
"Currently, our records indicate that you are not being mailed any offers from Chase and we wanted you to know we are continually developing new products and services that may be of interest to you. We are updating our prospective customers' preferences for receiving these mailings. We want to be sure that you know about available offers and that you have the opportunity to consider them. Please completely fill in the ovals below next to the Chase product and service offers you do not want to receive by mail... ...Please respond by 12/15/11. If you do not respond, you may begin to receive offers in the mail about these products and services."It goes on to say that after five years or after I move to a new residence I need to renew all my mailing options.
Can anyone truly say that sending me 14 solicitations in 6 months is a reasonable use of resources for any business?
Can anyone truly say that the Post Office is charging enough to mail this crap to me? If the Post Office charged more then maybe they wouldn't lose so much money and they might discourage some of this junk mail!
And how sneaky and misleading is it to send me a letter saying that 90 days after I asked to be removed from the mailing list--just when the mailings are supposed to finally stop--I'll be automatically added again unless I opt out?
Chase gives banks and corporations a bad name. Don't do business with them (because they are obviously wasting your money).
The Post Office isn't losing money. USPS's own propaganda thereto is fueled by number shuffling engineered by the crew that has been trying for forty years to privatize mail delivery so that their campaign contributors can charge more for what has been a guaranteed public information service since before we had a flag. These sheisters are cut from the same cloth as their Wall Street crones who destroyed our economy for generations to come.
ReplyDeleteBreak up the big banks and save the United States Postal Office - it's the patriotic thing to do.
